To successfully complete your programme, you must fully commit. We also expect commitment and support from your employer and line manager. This will give you the best possible learning experience and allow you to complete your training.

Our Commitment Statements contain additional information about the programme and the commitment required. The agreement is signed by you, us (the Training Provider) and your employer before your programme begins.

Your line manager will confirm that they've read the guidance documents and agreed to give you 20% of your contracted hours ‘off the job’ to learn and develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours.

Throughout the programme if your Line Manager is to change, it is your responsibility to inform us of this change my emailing the Programme team at learnmore@futuretalentlearning.com

The following points highlight the commitment and expectations of you and your line manager towards the fulfilment of the programme.

I haven’t received my Aptem activation email.

You’ll receive an activation email from ‘email@aptem.co.uk’ on the same day that you receive your welcome email from your coach. If you don’t receive the activation email, please check your junk folder and/or speak to your internal HR/IT team to ensure @futuretalentlearning.com and @aptem.co.uk are both on the ‘Allow list’. I don’t know which programme I’m applying for.

You must also be able to undertake the duties required of the Apprenticeship programme within your role. For example, you can’t be enrolled on the Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager level programme if you’re not going to be operationally managing or have the responsibilities added to your role as you develop these skills on the programme.

What is the difference between an Apprenticeship Levy-funded programme and an Enterprise programme?

An Apprenticeship Levy-funded programme is a government-funded apprenticeship. On completion, you’ll receive the Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship Qualification or Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager Qualification.

An Enterprise programme is commercially funded by your employer. On completion, you’ll receive a Future Talent Learning Transformational Leadership Programme Level 3 or Level 5 certificate.

I don’t want to continue with my application.

Please inform your line manager and your employer about your decision to withdraw your application and drop a line to let your coach know as well.

I can't edit any of the fields in the Individual Learner Record (ILR).

Your coach can edit information for you during the Enrolment Meeting.

I’m an international learner and don’t have a ‘UK postcode prior to enrolment’.

That’s ok. Please enter either ZZ99 9ZZ or AA9 9AA.

My passport has expired.

During your End Point Assessment at the end of your programme, you’ll need to show the assessor your ID evidence, such as a passport. If your passport has expired, you’ll need to present supporting evidence which matches the name listed in your passport, such as a recently dated utility bill, phone contract or bank card.

Why do I need to provide my Functional Skills Level 2 certificates in English and Maths?

Programmes funded through the Apprenticeship Levy have eligibility criteria set by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (EFSA). Evidence of Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths, such as GCSEs (grades A* - C) are a minimum requirement for joining the programme.

I can’t find my certificates.

You may be able to apply to your school or your exam board to request copies of your certificates, or a certified statement of results.

Further information on obtaining replacement documentation can be found on the UK Government website below.

What are Functional Skills?

English and Maths are essential subjects that are included in most training and education programmes and are a required component of apprenticeships.

Functional Skills are the fundamental English and Maths skills that people need for their working and personal lives.

What do I need to do if I don’t hold English and Maths certificates? (GCSE/A-level grades A*- C)

If you don’t hold English and Maths certificates which meet the requirements, your coach we can help you to book a free online Functional Skills exam in English and/or Maths after month 3 of your programme. We will support you to meet this requirement.

What Functional Skills levels are there?

Functional Skills qualifications are available at Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2.

Level 2 is comparable to GCSE grade 4 or grade C, which is the minimum requirement for the apprenticeships we are offering at Future Talent Learning.

What is Functional Skills English Level 2?

Functional Skills English is a qualification for work, study and life. Achievement of the qualification demonstrates the ability at an appropriate level to read, write, speak, listen and communicate in English, and to apply these skills effectively to a range of purposes in the workplace and in other real-life situations.

What is Functional Skills Maths Level 2?

Functional Skills Maths is a qualification for work, study and life. Achievement of the qualification demonstrates a sound grasp of mathematical skills at the appropriate level and the ability to apply mathematical thinking effectively to solve problems successfully in the workplace and in other real-life situations.

What if I have International Qualifications?

Several international certificates are accepted – please refer to the Apprenticeship Standards English and Maths List here.

Take the free online Functional Skills exam in English and/or Maths. (Let your coach know that you wish to book a place for the exam – see information in the What do I need to do if I don’t hold English and Maths certificates question).

OR

Use a service called ENIC to obtain a Statement of Comparability (a comparison of your international qualification to a UK high school GCSE qualification). You can see how to request a Statement of Comparability via the below button.
